The most effective exercises are the basic exercises: squat, deadlift, jump, Olympic lifts, pull-up, push-up, run. If you hear that a program does not offer one of these movements because it is too hard to perform or teach, it is not a very effective program. Cross-fit focuses on these basic movements primarily and that makes it the fastest growing exercise program in the world.
I was supposed to do a cross-fit this morning but ended up sleeping a bit too much (Read: 9 am). The schedule for today is an hour of running and an hour of yoga to ensure that I can run again in the morning.
It will be great to catch a run in Chennai on Sunday morning and running in the heat will help to improve my endurance.
