I got to run in one of the most beautiful places in Bangalore this morning – Lalbagh Gardens. Manjari, the tiny giant, threatened me that she will never give me a ride if I don’t show up on time which made me reach our meeting point 5 minutes before she arrived. We chilled out on the rock in Lalbagh for fifteen minutes since Vikram was running a bit late and got to enjoy the landscape of Bangalore downtown from there.
The run itself was around a lake and some pretty trees and I ran for exactly half hour. The knee, Jeevan (life), cannot handle two days of running 8-10ks. He needs to recover slowly but steadily with running and strengthening happening alternatively.
Hopefully, driving with Vicky to Chennai this weekend. We have suddenly turned elite Bangaloreans who make fun of our Chennai buddies. The plan is to couch out on Saturday and do a run on Sunday morning with the Chennai runners, hopefully a 12k.
Working with start-ups having bosses who are grounded is the second best thing in the world. We work for 9 hours a day but we work passionately and almost every minute when I am back home, I am thinking on ways to make the organization grow. It also definitely helps that my boss is a runner and we grab every opportunity that we get to run. And my philosophy in life is simple – I trust runners, I’ll go an extra mile for them and needless to say, they always go an extra mile too when needed. I have never seen a friend who I bonded with over running judging the way I lead my life. Its as simple as that. Working for Balaji, is similar to working for my professor Dr.Caplan. With Balaji, we bond over running and with Caplan, we bonded over basketball and mountaineering.
I have problems with people treating ATMs as though they are flirting with a hot bank teller. Just feel like taking their card, inserting it, and drawing their money for them. Could even be a business opportunity.
