If not for Vicky and Thomas, I might have lost it this weekend. 13 pitchers, 2 cloves and wide grins, classic rock & dinner at koshy's sums up the weekend.
The cold and cough has disappeared. Dr. Rajat has given a clean chit and said that I can start running again. Need to loosen my IT band by a cool stretch that the taught me. He even promised that he will make me run a marathon in 3:30 by next year.
Getting out of injury is a complex thing. Your heart is always scanning for the next marathon when you should just be getting out and taking long walks. Walking past a basketball court does not help either just because you want to simply jump in and shoot some hoops. And ofcourse, since you are not running, you take the liberty to gulp down gallons of beer which surely does not contribute to your endurance.
A friend writes " You have to let that small part go to keep sane. You are doing well for yourself and what does it matter now? ". Wise words indeed but who can control nightmares of a woman literally forcing herself on you. Having said that, it is hard to hate someone who you loved so much at some point of time. This may sound extremely stupid and irrational but believe me, I am putting myself first here. And, there is always God who rigorously maintains a balance sheet with a detailed narration. Hate is only going to consume me and affect my running. As it is, I have ruined more than 4 months due to tendonitis and I cannot afford to waste anymore time.

Haven't found cloves in Cotonou. 13 pitchers sound like too much. I saw you drinking 5 and the balance sheet was negative. Red numbers are always bad.
Hi, what is this stretch u r doing? How does it work, I have an ITB issue as well and want to know how to stretch it out. Kindly explain to me.
