Seven beers, 2 shorts of pepper vodka and some happy music is what we would do on any given Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. We were the coolest entourage in town and the waiters in every popular bar would know us by our first name. Every night was an adventure which would be spoken about extensively at office for days. Friendships grew thicker as the beer supply in the state started to diminish. The table was rarely less than 15 folks and I met someone new every single day. We would end up in some random dosa spot every night, eat stomach full of dosas and stagger our way back home. Conversations & text messages until we passed out. That was Frost and Sullivan for you people….hella fun!!! And did we work? Yeah we worked smart and published articles. The media knew us well and we were experts in what we did. CEOs called for random advice or just to talk and the market kept trying to poach us. Affectionately, employees at Frost were called Frostitutes.
The problem with Frost and Sullivan today is that it needs a revamp. If I was getting paid Rs.10, 000 extra, I would have never left that place. For me, money beyond Rs.50, 000 is something I don’t require and anything beyond Rs.1, 00,000 is something that is unreal.
Do I miss being at Frost? Of course, I do. That’s probably the only place I really enjoyed working in. Absolutely no politics at the analyst level and the place was full of well-read, well-educated people who could hold great conversations. Someone save the company please.
