The plan for this weekend was to do a 6 mile run on saturday and a 9 mile run on sunday. I ended up doing a 3 mile run on saturday and none on sunday. I consoled myself on sunday evening saying that I would do a run on monday morning but I only woke up at 8:30 am and it was too late to get to work. Some social commitments in the evening and I don't think I will be running today either.
Other than this, the weekend was really relaxing. I ended up catching up with people who I have not caught up with in a while. Met people over coffee, lunch and dinners. Sunday evening was the best where Marko (greek boy in Chennai) and I baked a pizza. This is pretty much my second week consequently without beer (I had a pint of that crap though on friday!) and it is driving me nuts. The pain involved in running a marathon will only be less than one tenth of not drinking beer. The plan is after I reach the 42km mark, I will sip a guiness at sleepy sams bed and breakfast. Everything else comes later.
For the next six months after this run, its only going to be three days of speed workout, workouts for the core, abs and endless games of ultimate frisbee. I havent been playing frisbee mainly due to risk of injury and once this run is over, I will be doing some serious Yuvraj Singh's on the beach.
