Extracts from Shane Warne's blog

What are the best Test innings you’ve ever seen?
1: Brian Lara - Sydney New Year’s Test 1993
He got 277 but it wasn't the score but the way he got them. It was wet and the ball was skidding but his placement was unbelievable. He kept putting it in gaps and collecting runs. A brilliant first Test century.
We finally got him run out which was the only way we were going to get him.

2: Sachin Tendulkar Chennai in March 1998
155 not out in 191 balls in their second innings to set us a target. I had got him for 4 in the first innings and the pitch was turning yet he played me beautifully. It allowed India to set us a target and they bowled us out to win. Sachin is one of the few players we have not bothered sledging. In fact we go the other way and are nice to him. Sledging just gets him angry and determined and that's the last thing we've wanted.

Who’s the hardest player to bowl against?
The hardest player I have bowled to is Navjot Sidhu. He was terrible - a real violent batsman, aggressive and quick. He wanted to hit me straight away and with very quick feet would come down the wicket and hit it hard back at me. That was his plan - just smash it back at the bowler and even when I did him by changing pace or length his hands were so quick he would still lash at the ball.
