The Shin Injury

One common injury among runners is the pain in the shin area on the leg. The symptoms are that you usually feel some pain on the calf muscle and then the pain proceeds towards your bone. Although, its not that big a problem and the doctor’s usually allow you to keep running, vigorous stretching of the calf muscle is recommended. For every fifteen minutes of running, a five minute calf stretch is advised. This problem can be avoided by stretching regularly before and after your runs and by using some leg strengthening exercises. Dr.Kannan Pugazendi in Chennai is a great sports doctor and I would recommend him in case of any sports injuries especially the shin injury.
