My running has improved a lot after the end of the MBA program. In the short-term I definitely view my ultra-expensive MBA program as a break in my life. I hope I change my view in a few years when the investment in terms of money and time pays off.
I have been running a 20k every time I run these days. The runs are providing me a lot of strength and I feel like jumping around. The runs also automatically add discipline in my life which I lacked over the last one year. The program itself was loads of crap but I was lucky enough to make a few good friends who I can definitely take back for life.
I also bought myself a new pair of running shoes as a gift for the New Year. I am determined to get back to my previous lifestyle of running and fitness starting this year and hopefully the shoes help in a positive way. It is a pair of Asics which I wanted to try for a long time now.
The focus now is on building distance and not injure myself in the process. Thus, the plan is not to worry about the speed and as long as I can run for two hours, that is good enough.
As I am unsure of where my life will take me this year, I plan to not decide my marathons at this point. Ideally, I would like to run the Rome (or Barcelona) and the Milan marathon. Lets see how things go.
A great blogpost I read today
