I woke up at 4 am this morning wanting to go do a run. I don't know what possessed me. Some trance music was still playing which I was hearing to the previous night while reading Shashi Tharoor's "The Elephant, The Tiger and The Cellphone".
I updated my facebook status, announced to the world that I was going on a run and then promptly left my phone a mile away and went back to bed. The alarm rang at 6 am, 7 am and then finally at 8 am. A guilt induced motivation kicked in and went into the gym to do my day 6 circuit which was
1) 2 mile warmup
2) 400 meters @ 1 minute 44 seconds
3) 12 burpees
4) 3 chinups
5) 12 Pressups
6) 30 ab crunches
7) 24 body weight squats
8) 400 meters at 1:44
9) 10 squats and dumbell press
10) 8 elevated pressups
11) 12 bench dips
12) 30 low back extensions
13) 15 lunges
14) 400 meters in 1:44
and repeat 2 - 14 one more time followed by a 2 mile run
Hopefully, I am able to go through the 30 day workout without the groin giving me too much trouble. Tomorrow will be a 6 mile run and hopefully I can wake up early.
