Ramshad, Abdomen & Hyderabad Marathon

The Monday morning began with an hour of intense yoga with Ramshad. The body resisted the urge to wake up and head out to the class but after the class, he was really happy. We worked on the abdominal muscle and the core and also managed to get about 25 suryanamaskars. My yoga goal is to get one hour of 108 suryanamaskars once a week.

I skipped running both on Saturday and Sunday. I had a valid reason to skip running on Sunday but skipping running on Saturday was simply unforgivable. The mileage this week is also going to be low since Sunfeast is on Sunday and I plan to rest starting Friday. The daily mileage is also not going to be more than a 5-7k run just to remind my legs, how to run. I doubt if it will affect my speed very much, since it’s a 10k which is a middle distance race. Starting next week, I’ll start training for the Hyderabad Marathon and will plan to put in a minimum mileage of 80 kms per week during the first 4-5 weeks. I just hope not to get injured this time.

Surya Namaskar and Namaste are my favorite words lately, see my guru http://www.yoga-paris.com/
The one in the picture, I had almost 2 hours of yoga with him yesterday and every part of my body feels right. Soon I'll buy a house in Auroville and start eating Matrimandir mushrooms or something. Kisses, Yogi me.

I think you should get massaged and stretched for better recovery and more important, not get injured just before the race!
