The happiness ended (or so it seems) even before it began. But things are like that and when things don’t go your way, you just go on a long run. And so this morning, when I woke up, for no particular reason, I decided to go on a long run. We did a 21km run at a very easy pace. The guys who were running with me - Meher and Siraj, are natural long distance runners. Their enthusiasm is contagious, never seem to stop and are quite precise about the speed and the distance. Especially this morning, with the same company and the same pace, I could have easily gone another 15k but then you have your worldly responsibilities such as work, cleaning your house, keeping in touch with the world through newspapers and so on and so forth.
There is nothing particularly planned this weekend and I plan to stay inside, run and eat healthy. A few beers will be consumed either tonight or tomorrow night or both nights. Mom is visiting on Sunday and she will be around for a little more than a week which is always good. Folks always keep you in check and that’s important in more than one way.
