Military Men Who Confuse Pace for Race
After an hour and a half of running this morning, I was a little tired to keep up the pace. Rather than tired, I would say I was a little de-motivated and wanted a little push. It happens sometimes when you run alone, slowing down becomes a little easier and you automatically let yourself slow down. I slowed down for 5 minutes and then luckily spotted a guy from the army running. He was wearing a jacket that looked like an army jacket and shoes that are typical to the army. I paced a little bit, ran next to him and requested him to pace me. I think he heard it as “race” and started speeding. Luckily, it seemed as though he was out of practice and the speeding only lasted for 5 minutes or so. One of the characteristics of the guys from the Indian army is that they start showing that they are superior everytime they get a chance. They don’t realize that every battle does not have to be won and not every run is a battle. Also, running is about racing against yourself…at least for me. You have to do better than what you did last year at the sametime and if you can do that you have won the race. It does not mean that I give up easily but it just does not mean that much to me

May be he was not from the army but was faking it by wearing an army jacket!!
