10k, Rage against the Machine and Take 5

My goal yesterday was to interval training and completes a 10k in less than 60 minutes. A very doable goal but since I am just recovering from the injury, it was like a huge hill to me. The first 4kms was covered at a speed of 9kmh, the next 4 were done at 13kmh and the last two was completed in varying speeds between 9 and 10kmh. The run took me exactly 58 minutes.

When I am running on the treadmill, I am always competing. I am competing against the treadmill, against time and against machine. It is very important for me to beat the clock for a timing that is set much before the run actually starts.

On the way back from the gym, I did a pasta dinner at Take 5. It is a jazz place with posters from the 70’s. Extremely mellow and laid back place but a little too expensive for a weekday.

Waking up in the mornings is getting difficult. I have been doing late dinners (post 9 pm) that is making it extremely difficult to open my eyes. I plan to forgo working out this evening, have an early dinner, read a book, clean my house and wake up at 6 am tomorrow to do a run in lanes of Indranagar.

i loveeeeeeee the ambience of Take 5 :) There's an old man of a waiter there..who I always feels consumes as much alchohol through the course of the night as much as the guests do :)
