Dinner, Privacy and Software

My boss yesterday mentioned that the software industry has somewhat become like the cottage industry. Its 100% true and you realize it as you walk in area I reside in Bangalore. Each street has 8 companies at least that specialize in different forms of software development. These companies are mostly located in homes and have anywhere between 6-75 employees.

A few months ago I lost my mobile phone in fitness one. Now I lost my ultimate Frisbee t-shirt. I really liked her a lot and losing her meant that I had to be pissed off. I told the guys if I don’t get it, I will need all my money back. Because there are no other affordable gyms with great equipment, I might end up going back to them again.

Last night’s dinner was simple – curd rice, potatoes, tomato/onion salad and one royal challenge beer. This went down well as I was watching India celebrating her two medals in boxing and wrestling at the Olympics. Though we are non-violent people, we are good at aggressive sports and its good to know that. I enjoy aggression pertaining to sports.

There will be a 5k run tomorrow morning and trail running on Sunday with the bosses and RFL. I am enjoying living alone more and more. It’s also great that I don’t have people knocking at my door/begging and crying to hang out as in Thanjavur. Privacy is something anyone can pay a million bucks for.
