I was able to get back on the road last morning after two weeks of rest. The run was strong and I did a 5k semi-easy run. However, last night I found that there is some kind of an inflammation just below my knee cap.
I feel that the root of my injury was not lifting weights for my legs for close to a month. Another reason for the injury could be that I have not changed my shoes for the last 8 months and they are possibly overused. Either way, the plan is just to rest for a few more weeks and focus on upper body strength using circuits.
Injuries are not fun. They pull you down and keep you worried. You start feeling crippled and pray to recover soon. If I hate one thing about running, its the injuries especially this knee injury

Hey Shumit..sorry to hear about ur knee... but curious.. how can it get inflamed NOT lifting weights? :))
my sympathies on current situation.. I am also in the same depressing boat. truly v depressing. hopefully we kick out the injuries quickly and hit the road. I am doing only v slow 5ks till I recover completely.
