Rockfort Express arrived in Chennai this morning at 4:30 am. The ticket collector announced "Tambaram" and I heard it as "Egmore" and woke the rest of the crew up. Evidently, they were all pissed since we reached Egmore half hour later. I called my boy Sandy who had his phone on silent mode. I called Karthik and he was sleeping as well. After pursuading Karthik for a run at 6:00 am, I read Candide by Voltaire for about an hour and reached Karthik's place in Ainavaram. Sandy called just then and the run started at 6:30 am with a great rythm and hilarious conversation until a mosquitoe crawled into Karthik's mouth. He huffed and puffed for quite a while and we managed to complete a 10 km run in an hour.
Ainawaram is a great place to run. We started the run late and completed it but did not feel the stress at all at all. There are a lot of trees in the area and Karthik mentioned that it is possible to chalk a half marathon route.
The GMAT date is set for June 2nd. Basic practice begins today and I plan to take my first test on April 1st. The plan is to study as little and be as efficient as possible.
Planning to consume a book by Haruki Murakami - "The wind up bird chronicle" this afternoon. Most of my friends have been raving about this Japanese author and they tell me that all his books are great.
