Long Run Sunday Oct 14

A friend of mine and I went to watch a hindi movie - "Laaga Chunri Pe Daag" on satruday evening and I thought it was pretty good. My friend did not agree and said that I watch too few movies and hence think it is a good movie. You have to watch it to figure it out yourself. After the movie, we went to my friend Sandy's place for a small get-together he had arranged for his birthday. I got back home by 11:30 pm highly sober and set my alarm for 3:30 am. As usual, I snoozed the god damn thing and did not wake up until 8:30 am. I was determined to get my 30 k run and set out to the gym which was closed for employee day. They close fitness one way too much.

I decided to take it easy until evening and planned a run in the evening on the ECR. I left home at around 4:30 to ride down to the ECR and passed dimensions gym which has been the starting point for most of my runs. I decided to stop there instead of doing the ECR and started my run from there. The moment I hit besant nagar beach (6.5k), I was sweating like a pig. I decided to run a little further until I hit IIT and run inside IIT. You have a 50% chance to run into IIT only if you sneak past the watchman. The watchman usually demands for a pass and if you dont have it, they ask you to leave. Luckily, at IIT noone asked me for a pass and I managed to do a 4.5km * 4 there. The place is really green and its always a pleasure to run there. On my third loop, I walked in sweaty into the coffee shop there and picked up a brownie which was eaten in no time. People smirked and laughed at me but what do they know about long distance running. I smirked back too...

A huge rice dinner as always followed.
