The alarm was set at 4:45 am as normal. It was raining but we still decided to hit the road. The run started off at a comfortable pace and every 3kms, Hari and I were thanking each other for the company. We hit Besant nagar at a comfortable pace and ran back at almost the same pace.
The run was nothing new - the route was the same, the pace was similar to other runs and the time of the day was the same. However, the weather was with us this morning. Chennai was cooler than usual and we could feel the effect of weather during the run.
It took Hari and I 2 years + to get used to each others running style. Now we are insync and everytime we run we are in the zone. We push each other, we follow the rules and we mutually respect each others pace. Running has helped us graduate our relationship from mere running buddies to brothers.
