The kerala escapade

My excuse for not blogging for a while is because I have not been running much. My last run was in kovalam beach, kerala on a humid afternoon three days ago. The place is infested with tourists and therefore has tons of touts. Indians for some reason are not given the same service and respect as the white folks get.

The next beach on the north of kovalam is Varkala. Its definitely worth checking it out. I got a fifteen minute run on the varkala beach and it was amazing. Varkala also has tons of tourists but the people in the village are really friendly. A great place to stay will be a blue building next to Jicky’s guest house. It’s owned by an American dude who is extremely friendly. Jicky’s also is a good place to stay.

The highlight of the trip was Ponmudi cardamom hills. Do not forget to buy tea on your way down from the hills.
