Airbus,Boeing and the Aerospace Industry

I am planning to make the blog a little more informative with some aerospace and defense industry happenings cos I get to read the most on the industry....so here we go !!!

A review of the A380 programme has shown that the delivery schedule will undergo a shift of six to seven months due to industrial production issues.Airbus recently explained the delay in the delivery of the A380’s being due to complicated installations of electrical equipment in the aircraft. Whatever the reason for the dealy, Airbus’s clients – Singapore airlines, Quantas and Emirates airlines have suggested that they would seek compensation for the delay as the delay has hampered the expansion plans for these airlines.

Although Boeing should be happy to increase profits with new orders pouring in for its 787 Dreamliners, this will also mean that the company’s production schedule will be disrupted. With the global air traffic, expected to increase at the rate of 20 percent, the failure of Airbus to deliver would only mean too much pressure on Boeing which is expected to result in the slowdown of the industry as a whole.
