Just another great run

My partying days are officially getting to an end. I am so glad that its over and I can seriously get back into running.

This year has been a year of 10ks. To be precise a 11.46km. I have been unlucky to have some not so fun running partners who bitch and cry and everything. And when you run, the energy is stronger than what you normally experience and I cannot deal with negativity.

The plan is to buy myself a new pair of Asics and tear them apart in less than 6 months. Unlike other people, I love running in the winters and thus I don’t forsee a problem.

The groin still hurts from the damn 100 km in 2008 and thus I plan to give up on any kind of interval training and run for just the joy of running. Speed comes naturally and the body will definitely adjust.

I went out to Duomo to walk Aysegul to shop and then took off on one long run. It must have been 45 minutes each way and thus I hope I covered atleast a 15km. The learning on the run was ‘ This is the LAST Mile and there is no giving up at this point’.

I am glad that the MBA is over and I can go back to my own simple life now. I thought this year would change me into something that would help me plug into what they call a normal world. But I am glad that 50000 Euros and 1 year has not changed the core me. I would hate to sell my soul
