Training for Mumbai marathon is going on full swing. I run about 4 times a week now, taking enough precautions when I do a back to back run. Speed has also been reduced with primary focus being to cover the distance. As I mentioned in my earlier posts, the goal for this race is to make it to the start point without any injuries.
A confidence booster has been the midnight half marathon. The race was started a bit slower than usual and I chose to pull during the second and the fourth quarters of the race. The race taught me the importance of collaboration in long distance to achieve your best. It turned out to be personal best and I was able to get it done in 1 hour, 37 minutes and 51 seconds. The plan is to gun for 1 hour 35 minutes in 2010.
The girl has immersed herself into running and yoga making her look even more gorgeous.
Some things change as you grow older and one of the them for me is that beer does not taste that sweet anymore. I only enjoy a beer throughly is on sunday afternoons after an ultra long distance on sunday mornings. It helps me feel a lot more healthier and I eat a lot more when I don't drink. After such a long struggle, I've realized that I love running much more than drinking beer and this is a welcome organic change for 2010.
Lets run a little bit more in 2010 and hopefully get into cycling as well.
