This is exciting and my strategy is simple. The plan is to start with a slow pace (1-3 miles), run in a constant pace (4 - 10 miles) and then increase the pace for the last 3 miles trying not to allow anyone to overtake me then. Lets just hope this strategy is executable.
Training for a running event is like being in true love (not sleaze). It occupies 80% of your brain space and if you train regularly and hard, it gets to be as good as being in true love. The more you give in, the more you get. When you are in true love and by chance you even think of cheating, it kills your concience. Similarly, cheating on your training program makes you feel extremely guilty.
I have not been in love for a while really. I want to let go sometimes but I can't. It will surely be fun to be in looooooooooove again..the feeling is just magical.
