Suryanamaskars, Half Mary and Rasta

It feels really nice to get back to Bangalore. The house was a mess when I got back – there were lizards, cockroaches and other pests all over the place. My time yesterday was spent in finding their secret hiding spots and applying pesticides around their homes – bulk murder as expected this morning.

The evening was spent in the yoga class doing multiple suryanamaskars and some other crazy asanas. I was unable to do yoga for the last 45 days mainly because the vibe that Gurgaon gave me. It is a city where I will never step foot again – polluted, seedy and highly concrete and definitely not the Rasta type.

I was able to do a 5k run this morning to kick off the running season. The half marathon this year is in Hyderabad and it will be a month and a half of intense training. The Hyderabad marathon will be followed by the Kaveri Trail marathon which will also be a half. My logic is unless I comfortably break a 1:30 in a half marathon, I have no intention to attempt a full marathon. I will be contended if I run both these half Mary’s somewhere between 1:35 and 1:40 without injury.

The groin still gives trouble occasionally.

Dude, you say that "The Hyderabad marathon will be followed by the Kaveri Trail marathon". But Kaveri is on 13th September while Hyderabad is much later in November. Am I missing something here?
