Flybaba, 5ks and Farewells

My 5k run last night hurt and I think I could attribute that to the weather. Bangalore is getting hot which will make training for the Sunfeast all the more fun. A friend left Bangalore last night to get into one of the premier business schools in the country and I was at a small farewell party for him. The smallish parties are better than huge get-togethers. Its more personal, you know the people, great conversation and tons of beer that translates to effective use of time. The big parties that I used to like in college now seem highly impersonal.

Work is getting more structured these days and I have been learning a bit about the technology aspect of banking. Its funny how developers interact with each other and often with me. It takes me a minute to understand what they are saying.

The last two weeks have been quite mellow in terms of social stuff. It is that time of the year where you don’t want to answer calls, talk via messaging, don’t get out much etc. The Frisbee tourney in Kodai is up in another three days which will be fun. Last year we were in the finals put up a good fight despite the 4 and a half beers before the game and god knows how much after it. I suspect this year will be more sober. Plan tomorrow is to walk around a park with my cousin and chat regarding general stuff and maybe a 5k after that.
