While I was in Chennai, I had no issues with finding a training partner. I started running with a bunch of guys and since we were improving almost at the same pace, we trained and ran together. Laxmi, my bike, was also available and I could ride on her wherever to go train. However, in Bangalore, I don't have anyone who I am perfectly compatable with to train with. The running group here is too large and sort of impersonal. Its like a large corporation with formal ranks, rules, fees etc. Running, for me, is basically a release from all this crap and I like to be able to just call a few guys and do a run. Its about being free and single. It feels like a horse running in the woods.
A good friend, Hari, completed the Singapore marathon and re-started blogging again. Check out his blog for some motivation.
Tonight I am off to a party and the challenge is drink as little as possible. I am not sure how I am going to do it, but I really want to do it. Lets see how it goes.
