Chennai, Beach and A Real Fast Run

After watching several running movies – Running Brave, Without Limits, Loneliness of a Long Distance Runner and the Beijing Marathon, I pumped myself to run with all my heart on Sunday morning. I had no trouble waking up and I was lucky to spot Venkatesh at the start line. We ran together for a while and when we hit the beach, I felt like a caged animal left into the wild. My strides increased and I just kept going at my 95% capacity taking enough care not to push myself to a point where I would reduce my speed for the rest of the distance. It was one of my best runs ever and I felt that if there was competition, I could have easily done better.

The only thing I enjoy about Chennai anymore is chilling with my friends from Chennai Runners and spending some quality time with my folks. I got my sister a pair of nikes. She started running for about 5 minutes on the treadmill now. Chennai is just too crowded, judgemental and conservative.
