After I did a one hour run on Wednesday evening, I decided that I should venture out traveling. Doug, the hippie at heart, mentioned that there is a chilled out spot in Hampi where you can just “hang out” and do nothing all day. The plan was to go to that spot, check out a few rocks and go climbing. However, I just ended up doing two 15k runs and hanging out all day. The idea was to refrain from drinking beer because I am nervous about a tummy and I got close to doing that. I drank only two beers over a span of 4 days which is great.
The highlight of the trip was meeting two pretty Gujju/Maddu (psychologists again)women from Bangalore. I met them extremely randomly and I think we hit it off. We made fun of Gujjus, Maadus and Iyengars ofcourse while watching the pretty sunset in Hampi.
Inspite of the Gods is a great book. Its always satisfying to complete a quality book in a short period of time for some reason. You feel intellectually powerful. Its like going to the gym. For sometime, you feel really powerful but if you don’t continue doing it continuously, you start to feel the need of hitting the gym. So is true with reading books.
