After averaging about 10 plus beers in two days, it was time to get lighter and do a long sunday run. I messaged a few folks but none of them were willing to do a run in Kilpauk. Decided to join the chennai runners from Mylapore. The run was smooth and five of us stuck to each other like a pack. While running, it felt like a pack of wolves trying to get our daily food. A chain was formed and each of us took our chance to lead. Most of us, moreorless, run at the same pace and we ran together for close to 10 kms. I ran with two of the guys for the last 5 kms and did the 15 km run in 1 hour and 26 minutes. Considering the alcohol and the my constant feeling of dehydration due to the pills, I thought it was not a bad run. I felt extremely light both on my body and mind after the run.
Over the last one month, I have been taking longer to recover from my runs and that sort of sucks. I sleep most of the day after a 15 k run which is abnormal and infact, I am feeling tired even today. There is no doubt that the strength will come back but it is going to take more time than it should which sucks.
