An Ideal Indian Vegetarian Running Diet

Breakfast: Pongal, Sprouts, tea

Lunch: Rice/Pasta

Between lunch and dinner: Tea, fruit

Dinner: Rice

Basically just load your self with fruits and carbohydrates and avoid any kind of food that’s dehydrating. Drink at least 3 liters of water everyday. This diet applies only if you run – carbs are hard to burn if you don’t run or work on other cardio.

Things to avoid: Pizzas, food involving too many spices, coffee.

I am skeptical about white rice available at stores. I wonder if the red kerala rice is better in starch and fiber content.

What about ghee for daal and rasam saatham ?
