A gym in Madras is quite the melting pot. People whom you would otherwise never expect to see together. The demographic split is something like this
30% of the crowd is yuppie male
10% of the crowd is yuppie female
10% of them are college students
15% of them are middle aged/slightly older tam bram men
Middle aged tam bram women form 5%
The regular people form 20%; with more men than women
Male police officers make up the remaining 10%The police officers look unfit but have unbelievable stamina and show no signs of tiring even after a long workout. Very annoying. But then, sometimes, they discuss politics. Which is entertaining.Yuppie male types suck ass. They are not regular, they lack stamina, strength and sense. They grow their hair long in Madras veyyal, insist on speaking in English with the trainer who does not know the language. Wear branded gym wear. With training shoes.Yuppie women are all of the above. Except, they are worse.The college students and regular people are mostly what they are.Middle aged tam bram men. Have pot bellies and a narrow frame. Wear t-shirts and shorts that don't fit. All that is normal. But they wear these nylon socks which somehow seem to lose their elasticity at the top end. Always. Any explanason?
