"People are strange when you're a stranger
Faces look ugly when you're alone"
- Jim Morrison
My biggest problem in life is to be alone and walk without having my hands interlocked into someone else's. The feeling of lonliness hits me when I am single and feel like a total loser. Like a told a friend once, love to me stands for 25% of my life's pie chart and without which my life is totally incomplete.
Tons of people around me seem to believe that you love only once. Personally though, I feel that I love passionately everytime I fall in love. I seem to enjoy the pain that you experience in a break up just like the way I enjoy cuddling up the first time. The experience of meeting a new person romantically is extremely important in order to broaden your horizons and to become more tolerant.
The only thing that I hate about break ups are when you cannot remain friends after your romantic encounter fades off. Moving away with contempt for the other person simply because you expect too much is unfair.
A recent study has shown that people with a healthy romantic relationship report less depression, anxiety, fatigue, physical illness, emotional eating and stress.
To have the best chance for a successful relationship, partners must acknowledge the unique factors of culture, race and sexual orientation as well as use positive responses ( calmly resolving an issue, negotiating a compromise and acknowleging one's own role) when problems occur to better insure a positive and healthy relationship.
Bottom line is never give up on the person who you love but at the same time clearly know when to exit before things start to affect you negatively.
