Saturday Schedule

As a part of the preperation for the Chennai Marathon, we are planning to do the Marina, Besant Nagar stretch. We start off from the coffee parlor called "Coffee" at five a.m sharp. Interested runners are more than welcome to join in.

As my training partner Karthikeyan Vijayakumar put it, this year the goal is not to compete but just to complete it. Along the way, I realized that more than the marathon, running is about a lot of introspection. You space out and take stock of the things that go on in your life. ]

The definition of a marathon is a race that is 26.2 miles. To translate for all of you who are inept at math, it would take you nearly half an hour just to DRIVE that distance at 60mph, let alone run it. It is not difficult but is extremely painful. Ideally, 26 weeks of training is recommended.

Come back for more gyan on marathon running and daily experiences.
